Your screenshots stay with you.
Here’s how the current desktop app and website handle your information.
Capture and editing
Framio captures and edits images on your computer. The current desktop app does not upload screenshots to our servers. You do not need an account for capture or annotation. Saved images and copied content go where you choose to put them.
Downloads and updates
The website requests release information from our API. When you check for updates in the desktop app, it sends the platform, architecture, and installed app version so the service can find a compatible release. Installer and update files are delivered through Cloudflare R2.
These network requests include the connection information normally needed to deliver a response, such as your IP address. Our hosting and delivery providers may keep operational logs. Screenshot pixels are not part of update checks.
Messages you send us
The support form sends your name, email address, and message to our Express API, which delivers it to our support inbox by email. Your email address lets us reply. Submission limits use connection information to reduce repeated messages.
Do not include passwords, access tokens, or private customer information in a support message. If you want us to remove correspondence you have sent, contact us from the same email address so we can identify it.
Launch notifications
If you request a launch notification, we store your email address, selected platform, signup time, and confirmation and delivery status in MongoDB Atlas. We send a confirmation link first. Only confirmed addresses receive the launch email, once a compatible installer is published.
Every launch email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops pending launch notifications; we retain the subscription status so the service can respect your choice and avoid repeat delivery. You can also contact us to request removal of your subscription record.
Website storage and analytics
Your color-theme choice is stored locally in your browser so the website can remember it on your next visit. This preference is not sent to our API.
The current website does not include advertising trackers or an analytics SDK, and its forms do not require an account. Hosting infrastructure and service providers may still keep access and security logs. If we introduce accounts, purchases, or other services, this page will need to reflect those changes.
